Three people arrived at the hospital on Monday morning, after the passenger train they were in, traveling on the Arad-Bucharest Nord route, stopped suddenly, between Roşiori de Vede and Măldăeni, because in front of it was a cargo that had derailed. The red intervention plan was activated.

Three arrived at the hospital with head injuries, being conscious and cooperative. The other ten were monitored on the spot.
The passenger train braked suddenly because there was a freight train in front that was stopped. Two freight wagons carrying cars to Constanța had derailed, and one of them had overturned.
There were 280 people in the passenger train.
200 of them were taken by ISU Teleorman minibuses to the Roșiori station, and from there they boarded another train to take them to their destination.

“During this morning, due to the derailment at the entrance to the Roșiori Nord station of a wagon from a freight train, the movement of trains is proceeding with difficulty.
According to the first information, three passengers of the train IR 1822, Arad – București Nord, located behind the derailed freight train, hit each other during the emergency braking of the train, and they were taken by the medical crews for treatment.
The other passengers on the train were picked up by the train IR 79, Budapest – București Nord.
Until traffic is restored to normal conditions, further delays in the movement of passenger trains are possible.
The traffic schedule in the affected area will continue according to the operative measures established and ordered by the manager of the railway infrastructure”, announced CFR Călători.
The causes of the incident will be analyzed by a team of experts from AGIFER – the Romanian Railway Investigation Agency.
“Around 04:00, a call to 112 announced a railway accident, a passenger train that derailed in Teleorman county, between Roşiorii de Vede and Măldăeni.
Thus, for the efficient management of the event, the Red Intervention Plan was activated, which requires the addition of operative crews, including medical ones on the spot. Once they arrived, the intervention forces found that the railway accident was not confirmed. The train was traveling on the Arad-Bucharest Nord route and suddenly stopped,” IGSU announced.
Several people were evaluated on the spot by the medical crews, three being transported to the hospital.
Passengers are transported by two ISU minibuses to the station in Roşiorii de Vede.
They were sent to the scene from ISU Teleorman – 7 SMURD ambulances, 1 Special vehicle for Transporting Multiple Victims, 3 special rescue vehicles, 2 minibuses, 8 ambulances SAJ, from ISU Olt – 1 Special vehicle for Transporting Multiple Victims, 1 special rescue vehicle heavy, 5 SMURD ambulances, and from ISU Dolj – 1 vehicle for transporting multiple victims, 1 heavy extrication vehicle, 3 SMURD ambulances.
ISU Argeş and ISU Bucharest – Ilfov were also alerted.
At the time of the news transmission, the Red Intervention Plan was deactivated.
