Muwafi said during his program, “My Lord, Increase Me in Knowledge,” broadcast on Sada Al-Balad channel, that the examination he is referring to is a CT scan with a dye, indicating that it is the only test that diagnoses a pulmonary embolism by 100%.

The professor of critical care medicine added that these rays give the doctor a clear picture of the pulmonary artery from the inside, which helps him to discover what is hindering the flow of oxygen-laden blood.
He explained that lung clot does not only mean blood clots, but includes any foreign substance that prevents oxygenated blood from flowing smoothly through the pulmonary artery, such as fats and tumors.

Muwafi indicated that there are other tests to diagnose a lung stroke, but they do not replace a CT scan with a dye, because its results are less accurate, such as electrocardiograms and echocardiograms.
