An ice rink installed 335 meters above the ground on a New York skyscraper

VERTIGO

It is located at the top of 30 Hudson Yards, the sixth tallest tower in New York

A skating rink has been installed in the Edge of the Hudson Yards complex in New York (UNITED STATES), the second-highest viewing platform in the northern hemisphere, reports NBC New York. From Tuesday until March 14, it is therefore possible to skate at nearly 335 meters high while enjoying a breathtaking view of the Big Apple.

DJs and champagne

This synthetic ice rink is 95 m2 and was installed in the interior part of the observation deck located on the hundredth floor of 30 Hudson Yards. It is the sixth tallest tower in the city as it measures 387.3 meters. It is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. To access it, you must first book on the Edge website. Tickets cost between 43 and 58 dollars (i.e. between 39 and 54 €) and include skate rental and 30 minutes of skiing. Every Thursday and Friday, from 5 p.m., a DJ is also present to accompany the skaters during sunset.

Alongside this “totally epic winter adventure”, visitors will be able to take advantage of the many services offered in the Edge, such as the possibility of climbing the exterior of the skyscraper in order to enjoy the best possible view. Those with vertigo can take advantage of the champagne bar on the terrace.
