Construction of a year-round ski resort will begin in 15 days
The land has already been allocated for exploitation. This was announced by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov in an interview with the Mir TV channel.
“We are launching a resort near Bishkek. It will work both in winter and summer. All technical facilities are planned to be built by the Austrian company Doppel Maier. This is a leading company. Its masters were already in Kyrgyzstan, we hired foreign designers, allocated land,” he said.
The official also stressed that our republic has many competitive advantages in tourism, noting Issyk-Kul, as well as other rivers and lakes.
“We have 6.5 thousand glaciers only on the tops of the mountains. We can show all four seasons in the summer. You can fly by helicopter to the glacier: the peaks of Lenin, Pobeda, seven-thousanders and higher. Go down a little lower – visit autumn and spring. On the beach – swim in Issyk-Kul lake. We clearly know and see our competitive advantages in tourism,” he added.
The construction of this resort was announced in December last year.
