The vaccines, he emphasized, will benefit dogs and cats in the municipality of Jiménez, “So it’s extremely important that people come to the campaign.”
At the moment the vaccine, Eladio Ávila said, will be in the different veterinary care centers of the municipality, as well as the Health Center, places where the vaccination is being carried out.
It will be from Monday March 13 when the anti-rabies vaccination campaign began in colonies of the city, to later carry out the vaccination day in rural areas.
The director of Zoonoses and Vectors urged all dog and cat owners to take their pets to the different vaccination centers, as well as in the days that will be held in the neighborhoods and rural areas.

“The interest of dog and cat owners in protecting them against rabies and thus avoiding its transmission to the population is evident in the statistics recorded in our country: in 1990 there were 60 human deaths transmitted by dogs, for the year 2000, no cases were registered, a condition that in 2012 is maintained, which complies with what was stated in the National Health Program to maintain zero cases; Like laboratory-confirmed canine rabies, more than 3,000 cases were reported in 1990, reducing to 244 by the year 2000 and continuing to decrease to 8 cases in 2012, successful results that are related to the number of doses applied to these animals. which contributes to interrupting the transmission of the rabies virus in them”, comments information from the Ministry of Health of Mexico.
