Krjogja.com – AMERICA – One month after integrating the ChatGPT-style AI chatbot on Bing, Microsoft claims there has been a surge in the search engine platform.
This was stated by Yusuf Mehdi, VP for Modern Life, Search and Devices at Microsoft, through the official blog for Microsoft Bing. He said, Bing users currently reach more than 100 million daily active users.
“These are staggering numbers, but we are fully aware that we remain a small and low single-digit share player. Still, it’s great to be at the dance!” he wrote.
Mehdi said, after they released the latest version of Microsoft Bing, there are users who have never used it before, now rely on the platform. He also noted that a third of the daily active users of the search engine Bing, are new users there.
“We see the appeal of this new Bing as validation of our view that search is due to reinvention and the unique value proposition of combining Search + Answers + Chat + Creation in one experience,” added Mehdi.
As well as seeing an increase in numbers, Microsoft is also reporting engagement growth, with more people performing more searches.
Microsoft says there are two factors to that. The first is the growth in Edge usage, which will most likely be driven by the addition of Bing’s AI chatbot as a new feature.
