Among the inhabitants of Russia, negative assessments of the United States, the European Union and Ukraine prevail. Positive estimates are typical for China, India and Turkey.
According to the survey, in March 2023, the attitude of Russian citizens towards the United States remains predominantly negative. The share of positive assessments in February was 14% (in November 2022 – 18%) of respondents, negative – 73% (as in November).
The share of positive assessments of Ukraine continues to decline: 17% of respondents are good (in November – 20%), 69% – bad (in November – 70%).
The attitude towards the European Union also continues to be negative. 18% (in November – 21%) of respondents have a good attitude towards the EU, bad – 69% (in November – 68%).
The Levada Center poll was conducted on February 21-28, 2023 among 1,626 people. The study is conducted at the respondent’s home by a personal interview. The statistical error (with a probability of 0.95) does not exceed 3.4%.
Recall, according to a poll by the Levada Center, almost 80% of Russians support the war against Ukraine, and the majority consider it successful.
