Police are after gang ‘specialist’ in snatching women’s bags and beating them in this part of NYC

NYPD is on the trail of the suspects in this photo. He says they are suspected of committing a series of bag snatches and assaults on women in Midtown Manhattan in less than a month.

Authorities describe that pattern of robberies like this: In all incidents, they targeted women in Midtown and, after stripping them of their belongings, especially their bags, they fled to the West 33rd Street PATH station.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, four more incidents have been added to the following pattern. The details are as follows:

Incident 1 – Midtown South Precinct:
It happened on Friday, February 10, 2023 at approximately 6:45 p.m. A 75-year-old woman was leaving from the Bryant Park restrooms located at West 43 Street and 6 Avenue when an unknown person approached her and took her bag by force.

As a result of the attack, the victim fell to the ground and sustained an injury to his left hand. The individual fled the scene on foot toward the West 33 Street PATH station. The victim refused to receive medical attention at the scene. The stolen bag contained the victim’s cell phone and wallet with assorted credit cards.

Incident 2 – Precinct 10:
It happened on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at approximately 6:40 p.m. A 51 year old woman She was walking west on West 25th Street near 8th Avenue when an unknown woman pushed her to the ground and forcibly took her cell phone and wallet.

The assailant fled the scene on foot to the West 33 Street PATH station and the victim suffered a headache but refused medical attention. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned female between the ages of approximately 16 and 19.

Incident 3 – Midtown South Precinct:
It happened on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at approximately 0045 hours. A 26-year-old womanwas walking in the vicinity of 350 5 Avenue, when two strangers approached him.

The subjects pushed and dragged the victim, and then proceeded to forcibly remove his cell phone. The individual fled the scene on foot toward the West 33 Street PATH station. The victim suffered minor injuries and did not require medical attention at the scene.

Incident 4 – Midtown South Precinct:
It happened on Friday, February 24, 2023 at approximately 9:45 p.m. A 48-year-old female victim She was walking in the vicinity of West 36th Street and 5th Avenue when she was approached by approximately four unknown persons.

One of the people borrowed the victim’s phone, at which point the other people pushed her and tried to take her bag. His attackers then fled the scene on foot to the West 33 Street PATH station. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result.

Incident 5 – Midtown South Precinct:
It happened on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at approximately 10:08 p.m. A 50-year-old female victim She was standing in front of West 42nd 33rd Street when a group of approximately 6 unknown individuals approached her.

One of the individuals snatched the purse from the victim’s hand before fleeing to the West 33 Street PATH station. The victim’s designer bag contained keys and a wallet containing approximately $200 in cash. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result.

Incident 6 – Precinct 13:
It happened on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at approximately 11:17 p.m. An 18 year old female victim He was walking in the vicinity of 110 West 25th Street, when an unknown individual approached him from behind.

The individual seized the victim’s purse and fled the scene on foot toward the West 33 Street PATH station. The victim’s designer bag contained keys and a wallet containing identification documents and a debit card. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result.

They do not discriminate in terms of age: their victims are 75 to 18 years old.

Juan Antonio Martínez-Abrego Salvadoran, 42 years old. He is a senior member of the MS-13 group. He was even a leader of MS-13 while imprisoned in El Salvador around 2014. He entered the US illegally around April 21, 2016 and was arrested on April 22, 2016. After serving his sentence, he was deported to El Salvador on July 6, 2018.
