Flu vaccine: Tucumán received 28,800 doses

The Minister of Public Health, Luis Medina Ruizreported that these are trivalent vaccines, that is, they are the ones that protect against three strains of influenza: A H1N1, A H3N2 and influenza B Victoria lineage.

“This is a high-quality vaccine that is intended, in principle, for health personnel, both public and private. It is very good news and it is very likely that in the coming weeks we will receive the vaccines for the rest of the population, ”explained the official.

On the occasion, the head of the health portfolio clarified that each arrival of vaccines will be publicly announced so that the community is attentive. On the other hand, he urged the population to complete their vaccination scheme. “It is very important that anyone who has a dose that is missing from the complete scheme, which is 5 doses, and more than 4 months have passed, knows that this is the time to get vaccinated, since there is still community viral circulation with 20 to 25 cases per day,” he said.

In this sense, Medina Ruiz stressed that the lethality of the cases is low because the majority of the population is vaccinated. In the case of the deceased, it turned out that they did not have the complete schedule or they had a dose of vaccine with more than a year of elapsed time or they did not have any.
