Ondrej Desiatnik became the new football coach of MFK Tatran Liptovský Mikuláš.
The forty-seven-year-old coach replaced Marek Fabula, who was dismissed from his post by the management of the Fortunaliga club at the end of February. Tatran’s Facebook page informed about it.
The corporal, together with his assistant Ivan Lišivka, will lead Liptákov already in Saturday’s match of the 1st round of the extension part of the Fortuna league in the group for staying at home against Skalica. “We would like to warmly welcome the new head coach here as well and we believe that he will bring a new impulse to the cabin.” the club’s management said on the social network.
Mikuláš enters the superstructure part as the last team in the Fortunaliga table. He has only nine points from 22 games, 10 points behind Skalica. For Desiatnik, it will be the first time in the position of head coach in the highest Slovak competition. Before that, he led Šarišské Michaľany, Vranov nad Topľou, Trebišov and most recently Humenné.
His predecessor, Fabuľ, ended his post after only three matches of the spring season, Liptáci lost all of them. After his dismissal, the team was temporarily led by assistants Lišivka and Dávid Matejovie.
