This march, which took place with the participation of His Majesty the King’s Adviser, the founding president of the Essaouira-Mogador Association, Andre Azoulay, and actors of various persuasions, started from the space of the Memory House, and ended at the city’s beach, where the posts and participants were placed in this forum, which launched the movement of “women warriors from For Peace”, a movement of Jewish and Muslim women for peace, justice and equality, left their fingerprints on the wet sand, and chanted aloud, “Peace is possible”, in various languages ​​(Arabic, Hebrew, English…), and formed a human chain around the word “Peace”, which Written in white stones.

Thus, the sea tide will carry these imprints towards the world, in a symbolic gesture that translates hope, and sends a strong message and appeal from the participants in this initiative for the benefit of peace.

The head of the Association (Moroccans in the plural), Ahmed Ghiath, who coordinated this initiative for young people from Essaouira, explained in a statement to the press that these young people came up with a wise idea represented in collecting white stones on the beach to write the word “peace”, and inviting participants and participants in the forum. world to make their mark.

The second and last day of the forum was also marked by the screening of the film “Warriors for Peace”, which was directed by the co-chair of the “Warriors for Peace” movement, Hanna Assouline, in the memory house.

This film sheds light on the actions and initiatives carried out by women, especially members of the Women for Peace movement, in favor of peace in the Middle East.

Subsequently, a discussion was opened among the participants in this forum, during which these women, who represented different countries, presented touching testimonies, and recounted, spontaneously, their suffering, their experiences and their battles for peace.

They unanimously praised the organization of this forum in Essaouira, describing it as a “strong moment” full of emotions, which will enable them to leave this city, which par excellence stores these universal values ​​of peace and coexistence, all of them determined and will to persevere in their battle for the benefit of peace.

The Global Forum of Women for Peace, which was launched the day before yesterday, Tuesday, from Essaouira, on the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day, gathered women from all parts of the world, activists for peace, and also committed to justice, emancipation and freedom.
