Oscar Roberson, Jerry West, Jerry Lucas, Terry Dischinger, Walt Bellamy and again Adrien Smith were members of the American team. Ultra dominating, the Americans won their 8 matches with a margin of 42.4 points. In the semi-finals, it was the USSR of the giant Jan Krumins who tried to oppose them, resisting half-time (35-28) before sinking (81-57). Jerry West led the United States in scoring with 19 points.
