DFB women test against possible World Cup opponents Brazil

On the way to the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand (July 20th to August 20th), the German soccer players will compete with their possible opponents in the round of 16. The team of national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg welcomes Brazil on April 11 (6:00 p.m.) for the friendly test in Nuremberg. This was announced by the German Football Association (DFB) on Thursday. Before that, the DFB-Elf will play the former European champions Netherlands on Good Friday (April 7th).

“With the Netherlands and Brazil, we have two top-class players waiting for us,” said Voss-Tecklenburg, looking ahead to the two games at the Max Morlock Stadium in Nuremberg and Sittard in the Netherlands: “We want to take the next steps in preparation for the World Cup in these two games .”

At the World Cup, the runners-up European champions could meet the South Americans with six-time world soccer player Marta in the knockout phase. The last showdown was won by Alexandra Popp and Co. 3-1 in Sandhausen in 2017. In the preliminary round, the DFB selection will play against Morocco, Colombia and South Korea.
