Yes Morant faces no legal action after brandishing a gun in a nightclub. According to Glendale police, the basketball player faces no charges.
After his serious misstep, basketball star Ja Morant apparently has no legal consequences to fear. The police from Glendale in the US state of Colorado confirmed that investigations against the 23-year-old Memphis Grizzlies would not result in charges. In a video from a nightclub, Morant had brandished a gun.
Although the video was “worrying enough” to prompt an investigation, there was insufficient evidence and no complaint: “The investigation also revealed that no one was threatened with the firearm and, in fact, no firearm was found.”
Morant will miss at least four more games
The Grizzlies, meanwhile, announced that the initially suspended Morant would miss at least four more games.
Morant has apologized for his behavior and has deleted his Instagram and Twitter accounts. “I’m going to take some time off and try to learn methods of dealing with stress better,” said the NBA professional.
