Attitudes towards food and medicine supplies remain high
In the US and Europe, the level of support for providing aid to Ukraine is decreasing, The Economist reports, citing a poll by YouGov.
In the Republican Party, which controls the US House of Representatives, the percentage fell from 67% in April 2022 to 39% in December.
Democrats for the same period – from 82% to 75%.
At the same time, support for food and medicine supplies remains high in the US (86% of Democrats and 78% of Republicans). Sending tanks is supported by about 70% of Democrats and about 50% of Republicans.
Support for the imposition of sanctions in EU countries has also decreased. In February 2022, 45% of respondents in Great Britain were in favor of this, in December – 35%.
Similar declines were observed in France (from around 25% to 20%), Germany (from almost 40% to below 30%), Italy and Spain.
