Welcome to Paldea! The new ‘Pokémon’ anime prepares us for the adventure with a first trailer and a special chapter

The anime of ‘Pokémon‘ has closed a very long chapter by withdrawing Ash and Pikachu as protagonists, but beware, that does not mean that it is going to end at all. What happens is that next month a new stage begins in which we will explore the region of Paldea by the hand of two new protagonists.

Although we will have a Pikachu hanging around, Liko and Rod (Roy, in original version) take over with three new Pokémon partners. And as the premiere of the new anime is getting closer, a first trailer for the series has finally been released.

With Fuecoco, Quaxly and Sprigatito as companions

Pokemon Scarlet and Purple‘ introduced us to the Paldea region and a few new Pokémon, including the new trio of starter partners: Fuecoco, Quaxly and Sprigatito.

Now in the trailer for the anime we have also been able to see more Pokémon in action, including Friede’s Charizard and its Captain Pikachu. We don’t know much more about the plot of the series for now, but It seems that Liko and Rod’s artifacts are going to play an important role in bringing us closer to the legends of Paldea.

We already knew that the new ‘Pokémon’ anime starts next April 14th in Japan, but the other big news is that it has been confirmed that the first episode will be a one-hour special. It is becoming more and more fashionable to open the series like this, between the ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba’ special and the ‘Oshi no Ko’ special, so don’t be surprised if it starts to normalize even more.

On the other hand, outside of Japan there is still no release date, although from the Pokémon networks they are promising that in the West it will reach us during 2023. Being optimistic, perhaps we can aim for a summer premiere, but perhaps the entire season will end up arriving at the end of the year.
