“The Bachelor” 2023: racism breakdown and a voluntary departure – that’s how episode 2 went

There were tears, embarrassing moments and screams right from the start: some candidates promptly went over the top when they first met Bachelor David Jackson – they organized dance routines or “happy” their loved ones with kitschy gifts.

David Jackson sent three candidates home on the first night of the roses. With his 20 surviving dependents, the Stuttgarter is now starting the first week – and it’s tough, because the bachelor kidnapped his candidates on wild group dates.

One day he picks up a group in an old VW bus and drives them to the beach – among other things to stay there with Angelina in intimate togetherness. When the 28-year-old comes back to the villa, the competition is already very excited: “Have you kissed too?” Angelina, who is also called “Utze” by friends and family, gives a clear answer: “No.”

At the next group date, the bachelor promptly jumped into the pool with his chosen ones and presented himself topless to the beaming ladies for the first time. The bachelor: “After a week you can show yourself, right?”

But while the 32-year-old is having fun on a group date, dark clouds are gathering in the girls’ villa. A candidate wants to cancel the “Bachelor” project. “I just notice that there is no bond between David and me and I can’t imagine that I still have feelings.” She leaves without saying goodbye to the Rosenkavalier.

And: On a group date, the bachelor kidnaps individual women to the ice cream parlor. When he asks Saskia (29) if she would like an ice cream, there is a scandal. Her answer: “Yes, you as chocolate.” Ouch! This comment does not go down well with the dark-skinned Stuttgarter. “Your comment triggered something in me, even if you didn’t mean it that way, but I’ve experienced a lot in this regard,” says the bachelor. The sales assistant from Münster (NRW) apologizes and also admits that, as a white woman, she has had no experience of racism. In the end she has to go. The Bachelor on the second night of the roses: “I want you to know that it has nothing to do with your statement. I’ve noticed elsewhere that I’m not the right man for you and you’re not the right woman for me.” Since Danielle has already left voluntarily, only one other candidate has to leave the villa on the night of the roses: Pamela (25 ).
