Satish Kaushik was born on 13 April 1956 in Haryana. He started his career with theater and later reached Bollywood. Her appearances as Kalender in the 1987 superhero film Mr. India, Pappu Pager in Deewana Mastana (1997) and Chanu Ahmada in the British film Brick Lane (2007), directed by Sara, garnered much audience attention.
Satish Kaushik also won the Filmfare Award for Best Comedian for his films Ram Lakhan in 1990 and Sajan Chale Sasural in 1997.
