In September last year, a number of foreign media such as TMZ and the Daily Mail shared several sensational photos of Cara Delevingne (30).
In the pictures, the 30-year-old could be seen on her way to the Van Nuys airport in California, when she was filmed naked and without shoes. In several video clips, she boarded a private plane, before re-emerging 45 minutes later and leaving the scene.

Following the reports, fans took to social media and expressed concern for Delevingne’s health. Now, six months later, she is speaking out for the first time about the scandalous photos.
– It felt wild
Opposite the fashion magazine Vogue Delevingne opens up about her own alcohol and drug addiction. The 30-year-old says that last year mostly involved large amounts of work and partying. In addition, she had also lost her grandmother.
– All I knew was that if I continued to walk the way I did, I would either end up dead or do something very, very stupid, she shares frankly.
Back after the flood of rumours
The photos from the airport were snapped shortly after she attended the famous Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert. The festival, which attracts the rich and famous from all over the world, is also notorious for the free flow of various narcotics.
– There is an element of feeling invincible when I use drugs. I put myself in danger in these moments because I don’t care about my life. I was climbing anything and jumping off things, it felt wild. But it’s scary for the people around you who love you.
Eventually, a group of old friends gathered to talk to Delevingne. On the eve of last year, she decided to check herself into rehab.

Delevingne admits that she previously prioritized quick solutions to get sober – which again only helped for short periods. Now the 30-year-old realized that she could not do the same thing again.
– This time I realized that 12-step treatment was the best, and it was about not being ashamed of it. The community made a big difference. The opposite of addiction is connection, and I really found that in 12-step.
Now the model has been sober for several months. Rolling Stone who has also discussed the case, writes that Delevingne documented her own journey. She explained in a video that she now prefers the term “healing” to “recovery”
Tossed the clothes
She further added:
– Your life can change if you give yourself a chance to really be who you are and sit in that discomfort, because my God, it’s uncomfortable. But it gets better – and it’s worth it.
