New York is among the six worst tipping states, tipping only 18.7% on average. This, according to data from a study conducted by Toasta payment platform for restaurants.
The six states that give the smallest tips and the average figure they give are as follows:

–Nevada: 18.4%
–Florida: 18.3%
–Washington: 18.2%
–California: 17.5%
On the other hand, the five states that give the best tips, as well as the average amount they offer, are:
–Delaware: 21.8%
–Indiana: 20.8%
–Wyoming: 20.8
–Kentucky: 20.7%
–West Virginia: 20.6%
