Application for “Baltic Dance Platform 2024” in Riga has been announced
Contemporary dance artists and companies from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia are invited to apply for the third Baltic Dance Platform, which will take place in Riga, 9-11 2024. In February. Applications are open until May 14 of this year.
Dance artists from the Baltic region can submit works in two categories: full-scale dance performance (including performances, digital performances and dance films) and project presentation or pitching. The received applications will be evaluated by an international jury, which will select three performances and five presentations from each Baltic country to participate in the event. The results will be announced on June 20.

The Baltic Dance Platform is an event jointly created by Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, the purpose of which is to introduce the dance art of all three Baltic countries, as well as to provide an opportunity for local artists to gain more attention at the international level and to make new contacts with dance representatives from all over the world. So far, the event took place in 2019 in Vilnius, Lithuania, and in 2022 in Tallinn, Estonia.
Baltic Dance Platform is organized Latvian Dance Information Center, Lithuanian Dance Information Center, Estonian theater and contemporary dance platform “Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava”.
