The Federation of Education Formation of the Coalition of Public Sector Unions of Côte d’Ivoire, in acronym the FEF-Coalition and its allies gave their position on the sectoral meetings held at the Ministry of National Education and Literacy (MENA).
The FEF-Coalition, through its spokesperson, Stéphane Zonde, gave its position on the discussions officially launched on Tuesday February 28 at the National Center for Scientific Professions of MENA, during a press conference held on Sunday March 5 2023 in Yopougon. On this occasion, the FEF-Coalition welcomed the consideration of the return of the 20 points of demands which will be the subject of discussions among the 82 points, during the meetings which will begin on March 14.
According to the spokesperson, discussing all the points raised by the unions is a guarantee of confidence at the start of the negotiations. He also wanted the timetable for the negotiations to be set out within a reasonable period of time in order to avoid any dilatory maneuver likely to dampen the hopes that the teachers have in these discussions. For the occasion, the leadership of the coalition urges its members to remain calm and mobilized.
