Platelet donors requested for leukemia patient

The family of María del Rosario Otero Rivera requested this Tuesday help to find platelet donations to help the leukemia patient at the San Juan Municipal Hospital.

The urgency arises due to the lack of supplies of the precious resource in the Blood Bank of the Medical Center.

If they cannot donate platelets, the family informed that interested persons can donate blood, since it is still needed.

Those who can contribute to the cause must attend the Blood Bank, in Río Piedras, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm every day, including Saturdays and Sundays.
