Who would have thought that twenty years have passed since the publication of Vietcong. But it really is. And it must be said that even after twenty years, the trip to the jungle is the same hell as when I set out to meet it two decades ago. As a result, the visuals are also hellish, and Tomáš Florian decided to do something with this element. He has been working on Vietcong HD Remaster for a while now, which is a fan project in which he adjusts the sounds of weapons, incorporates post-processing and above all improves all the textures in the game, which is more demanding than it might seem at first glance. However, as he showed in a video from December, his work is bearing fruit.
It must be said that the footage currently presented looks really good. If you want to play Vietcong in enhanced visuals, you will soon have the opportunity. On Mod DB Vietcong HD Remaster should be available for download on March 26, 2023, when the game will celebrate its second anniversary.
