Prosecuting the case of the stepmother beating her son-in-law with a bamboo stick in Ca Mau

(PLO)- The case was discovered and denounced by the teachers of the Primary School in Ca Mau.

On March 7, a PLO source said that the police of Tran Van Thoi district, Ca Mau province had prosecuted a case of torturing others related to the case of a stepmother beating her son-in-law with a bamboo whip.

During the day, the President of Ca Mau province also issued a document directing the authorities to strictly handle the child beating case that caused public outrage.

Before that, on February 22, teachers at Loi An 2 Primary School discovered that T. had many unusual symptoms, so they checked and found that there were more than 20 bruises on her body.

Soon after, the school reported the incident to the local authorities. Loi An Commune People’s Committee sent officers and commune police to Ms. HMN’s house (T.’s stepmother) to verify the case.

Through verification, Ms. N. said that T. had previously stolen 20,000 VND from her father. Because she was angry, she used a bamboo stick to beat the baby’s hands, back, buttocks and legs.
