“Magnificent Century” has become one of the main series in Turkey. The story of Suleiman the Magnificent captured millions of fans, first at home, becoming a cult cultural phenomenon. At the same time, participation in the project was a real test for the artists, and especially for the lead actress Meryem Uzerli.
As it turned out, while working on the series, the artists had practically no days off. Userli worked the hardest, appearing in every episode. And her shooting day was 16 hours.
Due to such heavy loads, the actress was increasingly faced with overwork. As a result, the tension resulted in a nervous breakdown, which she went to the neurological department to treat.
But the help of specialists did not improve the situation. As a result, Userli hastily left the series, terminating the contract with the production company. The directors had to look for a replacement for her and stop filming, which is why the creators of the series still often criticize the actress.
