BEIJING, March 7 (Reuters) – Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang on Tuesday criticized recent U.S. policy towards China, warning of the risk of “conflict and confrontation” if Washington does not does not modify the trajectory in which it is engaged.
Speaking at a press conference in Beijing on the sidelines of parliament’s annual plenary session, China’s top diplomat said the US’ handling of the ‘balloon affair’ had created a crisis diplomacy that could have been avoided.
