In the eighties, his father, director Magdi Ahmed Ali, was a mathematics teacher in Algeria, where he met during his return trip to Egypt with the artist’s mother, who was on a tourist trip to Egypt, and there a love relationship arose between them that culminated in their marriage. They settled in Cairo and had Ahmed and his two sisters.
