Islamabad: While Imran Khan was the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the wealth of his wife’s friend quadrupled, The News International reported. While Imran Khan urged expatriate Pakistanis to invest more in their country, his wife’s close friend Farhat Shahzadi and their family were busy expanding their business to other countries.
The companies are registered in the UK. Only one of the four companies is in Shahzadi’s name. According to the report, three are in the name of Shahzadi’s sister and one is in the name of her husband.
Shahzadi’s sister Musarat Khan owns six companies in the UK. Shahzadi’s family lives abroad. There are many serious corruption cases against them. At the same time, Imran Khan responded that all these allegations were aimed at his government. Shahzadi’s wealth has increased by four times compared to what was reported in 2018.
