The head of the currency exchange counter in Nantes, western France, Javier Piroux, said that some euro coins are valued by collectors, as one coin may be worth 300 or 400 euros as a minimum, according to what was reported by French Channel One.
The channel mentioned that there is a 2-euro coin, a few of which were minted in 2007 in honor of Princess Grace of Monaco, on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of her death, and it is one of the rarest currencies in circulation, with a price today of at least 3 thousand euros.
Recently, many people have started asking for 2 euro coins on social media under various pretexts, taking advantage of people’s ignorance of this information, in the hope of obtaining a rare 1 or 2 euro coin and reselling it at auction.
