The incident took place on January 21 when he went to Kompodinjamakal near Mala on his bike as part of his work.
The ball was hit by the young people who were playing in the urban field by the road and rolled in front of the bike. Biju hit his right hand when the bike went on top of it. The youths who were playing were taken to a private hospital. On examination there, it was found that there was no fracture and he was released with a bandage.
After nine days, when the swelling and pain did not subside, he came to the medical college. Examination revealed a skull-sized fracture. Then plastered. But even after 19 days, the hand was found to be unfit and plastered again.
A week ago, Biju went to Alur police station and lodged a complaint. He is a wholesaler of grow bags and has not been able to get a job for a month and a half. But Biju has no complaints about it. Instead, there is only one need. Roadside fields should be fenced or fenced. Local bodies should take initiative for that.
