Xiaomi has a lot of products in the production program, among which there are routers. The novelty that was presented at the MWC 2023 fair is the model BE7000. Although most sources say that it is a router for Wi-Fi 7, the published specifications and name do not quite match this. Wi-Fi 7 should work in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands, but only the first two came to the fore. In the 2.4 GHz band, it promises a speed of up to 1148 Mbps, and in 5 GHz it is 5765 Mbps including 4K QAM. In total, we are at 6913 Mbps. There is no mention of the 6GHz band anywhere.
It is built on the Qualcomm Networking Pro 820 platform and contains a quad-core processor with ARM Cortex-A73 cores with a frequency of 1.5 GHz. An interesting feature are four ports with 2.5 GbE speed instead of traditional gigabit. We also find a USB 3.0 port here. As for the price, it was set at 1000 Chinese yuan (directly converted to 3200 CZK). It is of course cheaper than the Xiaomi with 10Gbps ports, which costs 1,799 yuan (approx. 5,800 CZK). It is not yet clear when (or if) it will appear in other markets.
