Aloy is criticized for being short in VR

One of the draws for PSVR2 is the VR adventure Horizon: Call of the Mountain. Getting to visit the Horizon world in VR has given some mixed opinions, here at FZ we thought the game was good even if it wasn’t quite the killer app for PSVR2 that we were hoping for.

During the game you meet Aloy and one thing that players have been a little surprised about is her height. She appears to be shorter than people thought she would be. The speculated in everything from the fact that it may have something to do with the perspective in VR or that the person you play in the game is just tall?

However, we here at FZ have a different theory.

According to wikipedia, Aloy should be 5.6 ft (around 170 cm), but in VR she appears to be shorter than that. We know that the Swedish Nilla Hansson is the one who did the motion capture for Aloy, so the undersigned contacted her and asked about the exact length. According to Nilla herself, she is 165 cm tall, which is a little shorter than what Wikipedia says about Aloy. So it could simply be that Aloy in the game is only exactly as tall as Nilla is.

Those of you who have had time to play Call of the Mountain – do you see Aloy as a card?
