The company “OpenAI” has just come up with several changes related to the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot “ChatGPT”. One of the main news is that the company has started offering a developer API for ChatGPT. This means that developers will be able to integrate the ChatGPT chatbot into their apps.
It has been specified that the new ‘ChatGPT’ API will use the AI model ‘GPT-3.5-turbo’. This is the same model integrated into the world famous chatbot. Therefore, developers will be able to use unchanged or improved versions of “ChatGPT” in their apps. At the same time, the “ChatGPT” API will not be limited to the ability to offer chat with a bot, but will also provide other artificial intelligence functionalities.
One of the first companies already using the ChatGPT API is Snap, which has integrated the MyAI chatbot into its Snapchat app. Currently, it can answer simple, everyday questions, share ideas, advice, and write short poems. True, this functionality is currently only available to users of the “Snapchat Plus” paid subscription.
