Angelina Jolie celebrates Hajj Zubaida after obtaining a literacy certificate at the age of 87

International star Angelina Jolie celebrated Hajja Zubaida Abdel-Al Ali Al-Saidi, who was honored by the governor of Menoufia, after obtaining a certificate of literacy at the age of 87, as part of the initiative launched by the Ministry of Social Solidarity under the slogan “No illiteracy with solidarity” for the beneficiaries of the solidarity program.

Angelina Jolie published a picture of Mrs. Zubaida in the Al-Astori feature through her account on the Instagram site, as an inspiring model for her audience and an affirmation that education does not stop at a specific age.

The initiative of the Ministry of Social Solidarity “No Illiteracy with Takaful” aims to eliminate illiteracy in reading and writing for the beneficiaries of the Takaful program in partnership with the General Authority for Adult Education. The implementation of the initiative began in the governorate on July 1, 2022, with a total number of 6,000 students in 487 classrooms.

It is worth noting that Mrs. Zubaida Abdel-Aal resides in the village of Dakma in the Shebin El-Koum district. She was married at the age of eighteen, the mother of (8) children, and the grandmother of (13) grandchildren. She was not educated when she was young, and her father did not believe in the importance of female education. To learn and achieve her dream, she continued her journey by selling simple goods in front of her children’s school, out of concern for their followers and for fear that they would drop out of education.
