West Japan and East Japan reach peak of cedar pollen dispersal
Even in the Tohoku region, pollen has started to fly, and in the southern part of the Tohoku region, where the scattering has begun in earnest, there are days when it is predicted that there will be “a lot of pollen”.
If you have hay fever, we recommend taking all possible measures, and if you don’t have hay fever, we recommend taking preventive measures.
Also, cypress pollen is starting to disperse little by little. People with cypress pollen pollinosis also need to be careful.

◆Cedar pollen peaks in late March
In areas where the pollen started to disperse a little earlier, there are already large amounts of dispersal, and the peak of cedar pollen in Kanto and Kyushu is expected to continue until the latter half of March. In the Hokuriku and Tohoku regions, cedar pollen is expected to peak in mid-March.
In the second half of March, cedar pollen dispersal peaks gradually, and cypress pollen dispersal increases from western Japan.
From late March to mid-April, we expect to reach the peak of cypress pollen dispersal mainly in western and eastern Japan. If the temperature stays high, the peak may be earlier than expected, so please be careful if you are sensitive to cypress pollen.
In Hokkaido, where white birch pollen scatters, it is expected to peak around Golden Week in southern and central Hokkaido, and in mid-May in northern and eastern Hokkaido.
