Microsoft invades Apple’s closed system: Windows 11 will be able to manage iMessage and iPhone calls.
One of the advantages of Apple’s closed system is that everything the company has invented works very well with each other. One of them is, for example, iMessage. Microsoft, on the other hand, would punch a hole in this closed system, as Windows 11 will be able to manage iMessage and iPhone calls as well.
With the help of the new Phone Link app released to Windows Insiders, some testers already they can tie it to Windows using Bluetooth from their iPhone.
After that, iMessage and SMS can be used on Windows, and incoming messages can also be received on Windows. Group messaging is not yet available, media message management is not yet resolved, and history does not sync. In other words, although the development is very exciting, it is not really usable for now. What will be more interesting is how the fate of the idea will develop in the future.
