The Boston Bruins defeated the Buffalo Sabers 7-1 in an NHL home game.
As part of the winners, the puck was thrown by Russian defender Dmitry Orlov (33rd minute). Jakub Lauko (34, 60), Pavel Zaha (49), David Pastrnak (55), Patrice Bergeron (57) and Connor Clifton (58) also excelled. For the losers, Casey Mittelstadt (56) became the author of the only puck.
Orlov made two more assists and was recognized as the third star of the match. The Russian has already 8 (3+5) points in four games for Boston.

Boston has 101 points in 61 regular season games. The club is the fastest in NHL history to reach 100 points. Previously, this record belonged to the Montreal Canadiens – 62 games in the 1976/77 season. The Tampa Bay Lightning (2018/19), Montreal (1977/78) and Boston (1971/72) each needed 63 games.
Orlov moved to Boston along with American forward Garnet Hathaway from the Washington Capitals on February 24. In return, Alexander Ovechkin’s club received American forward Craig Smith, a first-round pick in the 2023 draft, a third-round pick in the 2024 draft, and a second-round pick in the 2025 draft.
The defender has been playing for Washington since 2011, he won the Stanley Cup in 2018. As part of the Russian national team, he won the 2014 World Championship and won bronze three times (2016, 2017, 2019).
