Diego Alejandro Barria (35) was reported missing by his family since Saturday (18/2). Tragically, Diego’s remains were found in the stomach hiu. Here’s the story:
Diego was reportedly last seen alive on Saturday (18/2). At that time, Diego was seen driving his ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) on the coast of Chubut province, Argentina.
Two days later, Diego’s ATV and helmet were found by pedestrians crossing the Rocas Coloradas beach in a badly damaged condition. Meanwhile, no sign of Diego was found.
The family also reported Diego’s disappearance to the relevant authorities. They also launched an intensive search to find the whereabouts of the man with 3 children. However, the results are still nil.
Diego’s partner, Virginia Brugger, uploaded a touching message on Facebook containing a prayer that Diego’s search would be made easier and Diego would be found quickly.
“Thank you to all who helped find Diego and pray for him. Don’t leave him alone, bring Diego back to me,” wrote Virginia, as quoted by the Los Angeles Times, Thursday (2/3/2023).
Diego’s search bore fruit 6 days later. A group of anglers claimed to catch dogfisha kind of fish hiu with ‘pieces of human body’ in his stomach.
Virginia and the family’s fears were finally confirmed. After being examined, pieces of the human body in the fish’s stomach hiu it is Diego’s right.
The family recognized Diego from the tattoos on his skin. It is known that the body parts are in the stomach hiu it was part of Diego’s hand.
From the DNA tests carried out it was also proven that the body parts were really Diego’s. Even so, the police still cannot reveal how Diego’s body parts ended up in the stomach hiu.
The investigation process continues to find the cause of Diego’s death. For the time being, the police have 2 hypotheses related to this case.
“There are 2 hypotheses. The first is that he fell into the sea. The second is that he had an accident and fainted, then was dragged into the middle of the ocean,” said Jose Mazzei, a spokesman for the local police.
