Milan –
Inter Milan will terminate the partnership with DigitalBits next season. The Nerazzurri will have a new sponsor on the front of their jersey.
Inter have been sponsored by DigitalBits since this season, replacing Socios.com which was on the front of the players’ jerseys last season. Previously, DigitalBits only appeared in the arms of players.
However, the collaboration with DigitalBits was in default. Since the pre-season session, DigitalBits has often been late in paying sponsorship money worth 85 million euros for the next four years.
Even in the latest developments, Inter has yet to get any money from the token company from China.
This condition is certainly detrimental to Inter, who need a lot of income, after their finances were affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic. Therefore, Inter no longer wants to extend the partnership with Digitalbits.
For this reason, club management is currently moving quickly to find sponsors, in order to meet the club’s needs this summer.
“I want to emphasize that the club is looking for a new sponsor and talks with a number of parties have entered a serious stage,” said the CEO Inter Milan Alessandro Antonello of Football-Italia.
“These negotiations will take time, but we are sure to have a new sponsor on the jersey next season.”
Antonello also emphasized that finishing in the top four is mandatory because Inter Milan needs income from the tournament. Inter have earned 58 million euros from their appearances until the Round of 16 of the Champions League this season.
