The International Olympic Committee, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile and Polyphony Digital today announced that “Gran Turismo 7” will be the platform for the motorsport event of the Olympic E-Sports Series 2023. From mid-April, all interested players can take part in online time trials in the game in order to determine the field of the fastest drivers for the final. The final itself will take place from June 22-25, 2023 in Singapore as part of the inaugural Olympic E-Sports Week.
The Olympic E-Sports Series is a global sports competition of virtual and simulated competitions created by the IOC in cooperation with international federations and game providers. In addition to motorsport, there will be a wide range of digital sports.
Gathering in Singapore for the finals, players will compete in front of a live audience for the prestigious title of Olympic E-Sports Series Winner. The finals will also be broadcast live worldwide on olympics.com and via social media.
