The attack damaged several residential buildings and civilian structures. Several people were also reported killed or injured.
Kursk governor Roman Starovoit wrote in a Telegram post that Kiev forces had shelled the village of Tetkino, which is on the Russian-Ukrainian border. At 11:17 a.m. local time he reported that the attack was still ongoing and that Russian troops were returning fire.

He also noted that there were casualties from the attack and that emergency services had been dispatched to the area. Kursk officials have since confirmed that one person was killed and another injured in the attack in Tetkino.
At the same time, the Governor of Bryansk Aleksandr Bogomaz reported that the villages of Sushany and Lomakovka were also attacked using mortars and drones, which damaged several residential buildings.
“So far no casualties have been reported there,” the Bryansk governor was quoted as saying RT.
During the attack, according to Bogomaz, a group of Ukrainians launched an attack in the Bryansk region, attacking a vehicle and reportedly killing at least one person and wounding a ten-year-old child. He added that Russian forces are taking all necessary measures to eliminate the group of saboteurs.

The Russian region bordering Ukraine has been repeatedly attacked by Kiev’s artillery and drones since Moscow launched its military operation in the country a year ago. The attacks targeted energy infrastructure and residential areas, destroyed civilian buildings and caused a number of civilian casualties.
