Bernardo Palmeiro ends his duties with Sporting in the coming months.
Bernardo Palmeiro will end the connection with Sporting, you know THE GAME. The leader, who has been an active member in SAD’s negotiating processes, will leave the lions by the end of this season.
The professional has performed functions related to the market and asset management, becoming a true right-hand man of Hugo Viana in building squads, supporting the former player in carrying out transfers given his administrative and legal experience. He played, for example, an important role in drawing up the working group that would become national champion in 2020/21, in what was his initial season for the lions and in which he immediately began to live closely with Viana.
Bernardo Palmeiro has, as far as O JOGO has been able to find out, approaches in his hands, including several European clubs and also the Middle East. At this stage, the greater probability is that he will continue his career abroad, remembering that he militated for several seasons in FIFA as legal adviser to the organization, making use of his aptitude in sports law.
In the management of transfer processes, Rúben Amorim also has an important say and that the connection with Hugo Viana is close and of fruitful communication. The club is equipped with other advisers, but the inclusion of another professional with the same type of functions as Bernardo Palmeiro is not ruled out.
