A specialized website discovered the possibility of creating private newsletters within WhatsApp, a feature still without a commercial name, on the 21st, through the application’s codes.
The newsletter will apparently allow the user to share information with a large number of app contacts. This tool will be particularly useful for content creators and for advertisers of products and services who will be able to promote them on the platform.
For example, if a company wants to share promotional information with its customers through WhatsApp, they will receive the information without necessarily needing another application to do the intermediary.
Although the website that shared the information did not specify how the tool will work, there are other applications that use a similar feature, for example, Telegram.
In recent years, this app has been on the rise for sharing false news and information.
One of the concerns that may arise with this new tool is the security of users. However, regarding this fact, apparently, the phone numbers and contacts are hidden, thus increasing security.
Another important point is that messages will not have end-to-end encryption as they are widely shared content.
That is, the visualization of the newsletters will be restricted to the user, and the news will be available in another part called Status.
Meta reported that the intention is not to create a social network within the application. With this, all messages and contents will be private. The goal is just to expand the possibilities of dissemination on the platform.
Even without confirmation, this new possibility generated comments on the internet. Also, with the leak, some changes can be made by Meta until the official release.
