BNT Plovdiv reported sad news

Dimitar Ignatov, a longtime television operator, passed away at the age of 73 after a serious illness. He has been part of the BNT Plovdiv team for more than 40 years. He has worked for all iconic shows since the establishment of RTVC Plovdiv, the state television reported.

The profession of the television operator is a choice of people with a pronounced individuality, sensitivity and a lively view of the world. The ability to tell a story with a picture is precisely what creates the expressive impact of the “television” phenomenon.

One of these professionals, who had the rare ability to photograph “montage”, to capture the essence of the event through the lens of his camera, was Dimitar Ignatov. One of the men in the profession who may be said to have had a distinct handwriting of his own.

For his work on the filming and production of a series of folklore shows, concerts, news reports and studio programs, he was awarded the “Plovdiv” award – in the “Cameramanship” category. May God forgive Mitko Ignatov and support his dear family, to whom our team extends its deepest condolences.

The pilgrimage to his memory will be tomorrow, March 2, at 11:00 a.m., mourning park “North” – “Rogoshko Shosse”.
