Ministry of Health (Ministry of Health) warned that para breeder immediately vaccinate all farmed poultry.
This effort is a form of awareness of the potential increase in cases of new clade 2.3.4.4b Avian Flu in Indonesia.
The Head of the Bureau of Communication and Public Services of the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, also appealed to breeders to always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as an effort to prevent the transmission of Bird Flu from poultry to humans.
“Farmers use PPE and livestock vaccines. If you are sick, immediately isolate and contact the nearest health facility or health center. Then cough ethics and wash your hands,” said Nadia when contacted CNNIndonesia.comTuesday (28/2).
Apart from that, Nadia also warned about the dangers of transmission in livestock to wildlife conservation. He asked all parties to remain vigilant following the finding of Peking ducks in South Kalimantan farms infected with the H5N1 clade 2.3.4.4b virus.
The Ministry of Health, continued Nadia, has also coordinated with the Ministry of Agriculture to anticipate this incident. One of them is by issuing SE Number PV.03.01/C/824/2023 concerning Precautions for Extraordinary Events of Bird Flu (H5N1) New Clade 2.3.4.4b which was issued on 24 February.
“Of course there should be strict surveillance against the possibility of H5N1 transmission to humans,” said Nadia.
