He will be back in action for the first time in years starring in the Netflix series FUBAR
Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to action for the first time in years with a starring role in the Netflix series FUBAR. A short less than 30-second trailer shows the legendary “Terminator” actor behind the driver’s seat of a sports car, as well as navigating the streets on a motorcycle. The action picks up right away with lots of fire and guns. We also spot Schwarzenegger on a pier surrounded by beautiful yachts, with the actor smoking a cigar.
In the spy comedy centered around family secrets, Schwarzenegger stars as Luke, a top intelligence officer who has spent his entire life hiding his work identity from his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro). What Luke doesn’t know is that Emma is also a famous CIA agent, and when the duo bond over a shared mission, they discover there’s more than just a big skeleton in their closet.
Along with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Monica Barbaro and Fortune Feimster, FUBAR also stars Jay Baruchel, Andy Buckley, Barbara Eve Harris (Prison Break) and more. The 8-episode project will mark a major milestone for the “Gemini” actor as it will be his first starring role in a small screen production.
Not only does the series boast big stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Top Gun: Maverick’s Monica Barbaro, but FUBAR promises to bring some heat with the names behind it. Creator Nick Santora has already worked as a screenwriter on major titles including The Sopranos, Law & Order, The Fugitive, and most recently Prime Video’s hit series Reacher, as well as the recently released family film Netflix’s “Dog Gone.”
As for good old Arnie, it’s been a while since fans saw him on screen, with his last major appearance being in 2019’s Terminator.
We can expect the series to launch on Netflix on May 25, 2023.
