Tom Sizemore, who was hospitalized more than a week ago after a brain aneurysm, will not wake up from his coma, according to his manager. The attending physician has advised the family of the 61-year-old American actor to end his life.
Sizemore’s family was informed of this on Monday, the actor’s management has indicated Deadline let them know. Now the relatives are thinking about whether to end the actor’s comatose state. A statement is expected to be released on Wednesday, says Sizemore’s manager.
Sizemore, known for movies like Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down in Heat, has been in a hospital in Los Angeles for a week and a half. He was admitted after a brain aneurysm, a dilation of a vein in the brain.
The actor has been struggling with addictions for years and has been arrested several times for drug possession. He has also been accused of sexually abusing an underage girl. But the judge dismissed this case because there was not enough evidence.
Since then, Sizemore has been regularly seen in films and series again.
