Joan Laporta recently admitted in one of the statements that Javier Tebas has a phobia of Barcelona. The president of LaLiga replied to the president Blaugranyagain referring to the need to clarify the scandal related to the payment of the former vice-chairman of the Technical Committee of Arbitrators.
“Laporta cannot say that there is someone in charge of financial control to whom I would tell him that he has to do something because I don’t like Barcelona. I’m not obsessed with the club and he knows it. These are not Tebas rules, but all LaLiga departments. It’s just a matter of respecting them,” Tebas said of criticism of LaLiga’s financial control regulations.
– What I said [że Laporta powinien podać się do dymisji, jeśli nie wyjaśni afery – przyp. red.]was in a certain context. An investigation is underway and not only LaLiga, but also the entire world of football needs clarification. The damage is irreparable and explanations, intentions and responsible parties must be sought. You need to explain the reasons for the payments and those responsible for them, this is a serious matter.
“If I were to be disappointed in every case that Laporta or any other president talks about, I would be disappointed all the time. They are looking for responsibility where there are none, in this case in LaLiga and its president. I imagine once they’ve finished their own investigation, they’ll say something, we’ve written a letter to the prosecution because we have some information we think is relevant to the investigation, that’s all.
Real Madrid’s reaction? I’m not surprised by his stance because he’s been like this for a long time. If it were because of the relationship with La Liga, it would be very childish.
