At the close in NYSE, the index was up 0.22%, while the index was up 0.31%, and the index was up 0.63%.
The best performance of the session for the index is to the credit of the title Caterpillar Inc (NYSE:) up 1.61% or 3.81 points to a closing price of 239.98. The best performances of the S&P 500 index go to Union Pacific Corporation (NYSE:) which gains 10.09% for a price of 212.17, Enphase Energy Inc (NASDAQ:) up 5.94% to 210.78 and SolarEdge Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 5.89% for a closing price of 313.63.
The worst performing values are DISH Network Corporation (NASDAQ:) down 8.06% to 12.20 at the close, Lumen Technologies Inc (NYSE:) which lost 4.49% to 3.40 and Charles Schwab Corp (NYSE:), down 3.37% to close at 77.88.
The best performance of the NASDAQ Composite index goes to Lucira Health Inc (NASDAQ:) which gains 264.29% for a price of 0.51, ContraFect Corp (NASDAQ:) up 52.90% to 4.74 and Blackboxstocks Inc (NASDAQ:) gained 47.27% to close at 0.81.
The worst performing values are Mount Rainier Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:) down 46.22% to close at 5.05, Smith Micro Software Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 36.40% to 1.59 and Apexigen Inc (NASDAQ:), down 33.22% to 0.87 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered falling stocks on the New York Stock Exchange by 1803 values at 1220 and 97 flat; on the NASDAQ, 2032 values recorded an increase and 1661 recorded a decrease, 200 remained unchanged.
Shares of DISH Network Corporation (NASDAQ:) fell to a low, after dropping 8.06% or 1.07 points to a price of 12.20. Lumen Technologies Inc (NYSE:) shares fell to a low, after falling 4.49% or 0.16 points to a price of 3.40. Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:) shares fell to a new low, after dropping 0.95% or 0.24 points to a price of 24.90. Mount Rainier Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:) shares fell to an all-time low, after dropping 46.22% or 4.34 points to a price of 5.05. Smith Micro Software Inc (NASDAQ:) shares fell to a 3-year low, after dropping 36.40% or 0.91 points to a price of 1.59.
The index, which measures the implied volatility of S&P 500 index options, fell 3.32% to 20.95.
On the other hand, gold for April delivery gained 0.39% or 7.05 points to $1.00 per troy ounce. Regarding other commodities, crude oil for delivery in April fell by 0.72% or 0.55 points for a price of $75.77 per barrel, while Brent for delivery in May lost 0.86% or 0.71 points for a price of $82.11 a barrel.
EUR/USD rose 0.59% to 1.06, while USD/JPY fell 0.17% to 136.23.
The US Dollar Index fell 0.52% to 104.61.
